Jeep Wrangler YJ

I’ve had my 4 cylinder 1993 Jeep Wrangler as a daily driver for more than 10 years. It has pretty much stayed stock all these years. She’s in need of some TLC now. I don’t do anything more than some urban offroading, curbs, construction sites and anything else that falls in the road (swerving to miss something is overrated).

< $880 Project

The traditional budget that people will do is a nice even number like $1000. I’m just a regular guy, what I have to spare is $880.

Stage 1 – Fix what’s broken

There are a couple of things that need to be fixed before any upgrades are done.

Rebuild the rear drum brakes

$134.89
Replace a snapped off turn signal lever $
Replace a bad muffler $84.96
Patch up ripped seats $40.00

Stage 2 – Suspension Replacement

I don’t want to raise the vehicle that much, its already a wall when driving it on the freeway.

Installing a Black Diamond 1.5″ lift kit $

Stage 3 – Engine Upgrades (maybe)

What’s left after stages 1 and 2 will go towards some performance upgrades.

Swapping the throttle body using a 4.0 engine throttle body $
Making a cold air intake $
