Jeep Wrangler YJ Free Online Repair Guide

I’m about to install a Superlift 1.5″ lift kit, the word Superlift seems pretty funny next to 1.5″. I’ll of course be following the instructions in that came with the kit, but in my search for all things free online I found that AutoZone.com has a good free repair guide for my 1993 YJ Wrangler.

From what it looks like AutoZone has put pieces of the Chilton Repair Manuals – Chilton Jeep Wrangler/YJ Repair Manual on their site. The down side is that you have to register with their site to get access to it. At least its out there.

  1. I had an issue a couple of years back where my temperature gauge would swing wildly when I started and stopped driving. It ended up being the coolant sensor. At the time I didn’t have the time to change it myself so I had it done with some regular maintenance.

In the middle of the series of pictures on this page is a picture of where the sensor is on the engine. It looks like the replacement sensor is about $30.

  2. i have a 93 jeep wrangler and all my lights work but brake lights and i have replaced the switch what do i do i have checked the wires to

  3. If you’ve replaced the switch then I would take a quick look at the fuse block for a bad / missing fuse and then start working back from that using a multimeter.
